The Applied Underwriters InvitationalTM, The #1 Charity Event in Golf, and its title sponsor, Applied Underwriters (auw.com), support charitable partners in holding up communities and championing those in need. Each year, over 11,000 golfers play in approximately 75 tournaments benefitting more than 65 national and local charities across the U.S. Since its inception, the Invitational has conducted more than 4,400 tournaments, raising over $276 million in net proceeds for its benefiting charities. This year, Frank Torre hosts the Invitational, benefitting Boys Hope Girls Hope of Detroit at the Oakland Hills Country Club.  Previously sponsored by Liberty Mutual Insurance, the Invitational is one of the largest fundraisers for BHGH Detroit grossing over 5 million dollars over the last 20 years.

Applied Underwriters assumed the title sponsorship of The Invitational program in March of 2023 and begins a four-year commitment to the event. Together with Applied Underwriters, a group of national sponsors (Bass Pro Shops, Cobra/PUMA Golf, Bridgestone Golf, Blank Label, Global Golf Post, the Experience – St. Andrews, and the National Finals host site) join in to support Boys Hope Girls Hope of Detroit in its mission to “nurture and guide motivated youth in-need reach their full potential to become well­ educated, career-ready, men and women for others.”
